Chief Bellerose started his career in the Air Force at Loring Air Force Base (Strategic Air Command), Maine, during the Cold War. He spent seventeen years in Security Forces and eleven years as a First Sergeant. Michael's passion is people. During his last eleven years in the military he traveled the nation delivering leadership development curriculum to thousands of Airmen. He spoke at Air War College, Officer Training School, First Sgt Academy, Enlisted Academies and numerous USAF Wing ceremonies. In retirement he is pursuing his passion by continuing to deliver curriculum and mentor leaders at all levels.

Michael started his career in aviation at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK. While serving full time in the Air Force he completed a Bachelors of Science Degree, majoring in Aviation. He earned his Commercial license, Certified Flight Instructor (Single & Multi-engine). Additionally, he was the Vice-President of Alpa Eta Rho (Aviation Fraternity) and a member of the University's Flight Team. Upon graduation he gained his flight experience through a multitude of jobs: flew tours in the White Mountains, flight instructed, ferried airplanes, corporate pilot, and more. Along the way his passion, devotion, and support of his family allowed him to achieve his dreams of flying for a major airline.
Husband, Father, Veteran & Proud American
Michael is a husband to his beautiful wife Kym for the past twenty-two years. A father to his phenomenal daughter Kinsey. A dedicated veteran of twenty-eight years and a Proud American.
Throughout his life he has never stepped away from a challenge and was always ready to roll up his sleeves and tackle the toughest projects. In 2011 he unveiled the USAF First Sergeant Monument, honoring first sergeants past, present, and future. In 2019 he stood up the Race4Warriors nonprofit, honoring our Middle East Veterans through competition, education, and celebration. Today he has stood up DrBE to help build leaders, at all ages, within our communities to strengthen Delaware and the United States of America.

Dr. Michael Bellerose started reading and utilizing the leadership principles of Dr. John Maxwell as a young Airmen in the Air Force back in 1995. Throughout his military career he read over a dozen of his books and contributes his success to John's mentorship. Today he is very fortunate to be a member of the John Maxwell Team, providing leadership and development training to over 100 countries around the world.
